This is the month that we plant our gardens, looking forward to having a good harvest. Some people plant seeds early, inside a controlled environment, to get the seedlings for the planting in May. We have to be careful to tend to these seeds, by watering them regularly and exposing them to the right amount of sunshine and a controlled temperature. They have to be planted in good, rich soil for needed nutrients.
Let’s sow seeds, (the Word of God) this month, while planting seeds for our gardens. Others may water what you have sown, but God will give the increase, (1Corinthians 3:6-9). The harvest is plenteous, but the laborers are few, (Matthew 9:37-38). Jesus needs a few good men and women to labor for Him.
Be careful to not sow by the” wayside”, where Satan comes to take the word from their hearts, (Mark4:15). Also, be careful to not sow on “stony ground”, where, at first, they receive the word with gladness, but it has no root, so when trials come, it endures for only a time, (Mark 4:16-17). And last, be careful to not sow “among thorns”, where they hear the word, but deceitfulness of riches and lust of things that enter in, chokes the word and becomes unfruitful, (Mark 4:18-19).
Some ways to sow
If you sow sparingly, you’ll reap sparingly, (2 Corinthians 9:6).
What a man soweth, that shall he reap, (Galatians 6:7).
Plant your seeds, and watch the fruits of your labor grow.
